Description
A beautiful dragonfly sits on wood boards. Dragonflies, due to their unique color and shape make a wonderful subject in artwork. In this fine art photograph, the use of sepia color created a subtle blending of the tones of the dragonfly with the boards in the background.
Breeding in marshy areas, dragonflies are prodigious eaters of mosquitos and other insects, making them a welcome sight in any yard. One of the fastest insects, dragonflies can fly as fast as 22-34 miles per hour. They are capable of flying both forward and backward, up and down, and from side to side.
