Description
Colliding with a loud roar, the Bhagirthi and the Alakananda rivers conjoin as they tumble out of the Himalayas to form the mighty Ganges river. In India, the spiritual energy produced at confluences is considered especially powerful and auspicious. The confluence at Deoprayag is the second most important confluence in India. The confluence of the Ganges, the Yamuna and the unmanifest Saraswati rivers in Allahabad is the most important.
