Artist's Description
In this fine art photograph, the beautiful Forsyth Park fountain fills this peaceful scene with a vibrant energy. Located in the historic downtown district of Savannah, Georgia, this scenic park was created in the 1840s, and it consists of 30 acres of land. Stunning in its beauty, the park is named after Governor of Georgia John Fosyth. The park is styled using the Parisian concept of large city parks that was popular in the United States at that time. Installed in 1858, the water fountain emulates the style of fountains located in the Place de la Concorde in Paris, France. The popular Forsyth Park is the center piece of any tour of Savannah.
