Artist's Description
Skate board competition was at its most intense when the Dew Tour arrives in Ocean City, Maryland. The resort town became known as a skate boarding center back in the 1970's when the mayor established skateboard rinks to encourage activities for teenagers. I like the incredible height achieved by the athlete in this fine art sports photograph. The skateboarding rink was located on the beach, which allowed for the contrasting blue colors of the ocean and sky in the background.
