Description
The Kumbhla Mela, a large festival held every twelve years on the banks of the Ganges river in Allahabad, India, is the largest spiritual gathering in the world. When someone organizes a seva or food offerings, wherein large crowds of people are offered a meal, it is considered to bring great merit.
Notice the gorgeous saris that the woman are wearing. Preferring strong and bright colors, Indians have a much more expansive color palette than most Americans.
