Description
Captured on a rainy day, this beautiful bald cypress tree has fog hanging inside its limbs, giving it a truly mystical quality. People often comment that this cypress tree speaks to them, and that it has a very spiritual quality. To me it represents beauty, solitude, strength, endurance and victory over adversity.
My friend Sally, owner of The Cottage boutique in Lewes, Delaware, sent a note card of The Healing Tree to her son as a birthday gift. She wrote the following Haiku to accompany the card:
Standing tall and strong
Maturing as life goes on
A tree, or a man
The cypress tree is located in Trap Pond State Park in Delaware. the park is part of the Great Cypress Swamp, the northernmost cypress swamp in the United States. Heavily logged and drained during the 1800's, only a few acres of swamp remain today.
This vibrant, fine art landscape is part of the many beautiful beach scenes along the Delaware coast. Many people find that this artwork offers a deeply spiritual meditation.
This is absolutely magical. Well done!

I am drawn to photos of solitary trees. To me, they represent strength and endurance against all odds. This is spectacular. Great capture.

F/L The blue tones convey a Mood of calm tranquility. I like the lacy appearance of the leaves on the tree branches which add a delicate feeling to this image.

We welcome this special cypress tree shot to The 200 Club, a "rising star" group in which only a select few are featured. It is my pleasure to feature desirable art work like this. Congratulations on your well-deserved feature in our high activity group and elsewhere and on your hundreds of views.
