During the Kumbhla Mela festival, tens of millions journey to Allahabad for a purificatory bath at Prayag, the confluence of the sacred Ganges, Yamuna and Sarasvati rivers. The Sarasvati is a mythical river that some believe has dried up, is underground, or is an unmanifest spiritual river. This spiritual gathering is the largest convocation of its kind in the world.

I am delighted to announce that I will participate in the National Folk Festival on September 6, 7 and 8 in Salisbury, Maryland. This is a huge national festival that includes arts and crafts, and a huge cross-section of American music. Here is my 2019 schedule.
