Description
Horseshoe crabs are not a true crab, but are more closely related to spiders. Most especially on full moon nights, they can be seen mating along the Atlantic coastline and sling the shorelines of Delaware's back bays. The blood of horseshoe crabs is used medically in the detection of bacterial toxins.
